1920’s Dresses were lighter and brighter and shorter than ever before. Fashion designers played with fabric colors, textures and patterns to create totally new styles of dress. Evening dresses, coats and jackets were often trimmed with fur. Hemlines rose for most of the decade but dropped slightly toward the end. Shoes and stockings assumed a greater prominence now that they were more visible. So this happened this morning, and we just got how much everything is going to cost in a phone call..Meet Belle. She’s a 6 month old sweetheart who loves everyone she meets and especially loves to snuggle at the foot of her mama’s bed every night.Well, last night while me and my girlfriend were asleep, Belle fell off the bed and fractured her elbow on the hardwood floor. We woke up when we heard her cry and immediately had her rushed to the vet as soon as we could.The vet just told us the surgery she would need would cost around $3000, and with only one of us working a dead end job and a rent to pay, we simply can’t afford the surgery without help.So for the next few days we have to keep her all wrapped up and on the couch which being as she’s a puppy is just not an option!Belle would really appreciate any help! I really hope she can go out and be the little playful puppy she used to be again.Thanks so much everyone.My pug really needs your help! T_T

oh and i forgot to mention that last weekend my nephew sneaked my mom’s laptop into his bedroom at our house and searched (and presumably watched) “hood porn” “ghetto porn” and “north minneapolis porn”.
i had to go through and delete it all off of the memory and then wash my hands for a few hours.

It is truly alarming reading through forums or blogs created to harass women who have posted any kind of nude material. A quick scroll through any of these sites and you’ll find rape threats, threats of violence, and lovely gems such as, “These dirty whores deserve to have their lives ruined for posting this.” It is strange to me that the social condemnation of nudity still extends this far. I’ve seen posts about how since some of these women have decided to stop using the internet socially all together, most likely for their safety, these users have decided to find them offline and pursue further harassment.
Before any smart asses jump in with a “Well what did they expect?”, 1) it is absolutely ridiculous for anyone to even imply that one should expect to receive rape threats because they posted a photo of their boobs, 2) this behavior is absolutely unacceptable, no matter how ‘the world is’, and it needs to change. These people/sites/blogs should be socially condemned, not the women they’re harassing.
If you see this kind of behavior and can do anything about it, do so.
